Use a COD fee when you want the form total to include an extra cash on delivery charge before the customer places the order. The fee is off on a new install.
Step 1: Open the fee settings
Open COD Form and select Settings.
Scroll to COD Fee.
Step 2: Turn the fee on
Tick Enable COD fee.
Enter the charge name in Fee name.
Step 3: Set the amount
Choose Flat amount or Percentage of order in Fee type.
Enter the charge in Amount for a flat fee, or in Value (%) for a percentage fee.
A percentage COD fee is calculated from the subtotal plus the selected shipping price.
Step 4: Save and test
Click Save.
The form preview shows the fee only when the enabled fee is greater than zero.
Place a test order from the storefront.
Step 5: Check the Shopify order
On orders without a discount code, Shopify receives the fee as an extra line item and a COD Fee order attribute.
On orders with a discount code, the app adds the COD fee to the shipping line instead of adding it as a separate line item.
